SDG’s Quick Brief

These executions are a part of our Capstone Assessment 2 Quick Briefs.

Problem:
In 2015, 193 world leaders signed up to the Sustainable Development Goals [SDG’s] - a contract designed to ensure all people can live productive, vibrant and peaceful lives on a healthy planet by 2030. There has been some progress, but the world is very much off-track. Several areas need urgent attention and we can chip away at if if we [people, business and government] unite together in action.

Challenge:
Connect every person to the Goals so they feel compelled to take on their role.

Target:
The global Public: everyday people who may or may not know about the SDGs. We want to inspire regular people to become activists for the world.

SMP: We all have a part to play.

Media: Metro lights

Mandatories: The 17 SDG icons.

Rationale:
I thought it’s of importance to convey real research and insight as a part of the direction of this execution that is related to each Goal, as this gives it a level of credibility in the eyes of the public. This is why each Goal in the design will have a research insight relating to it displayed to connect the Goal to the insight.

Then to directly engage the target audience, the heading reads ‘Change Starts with You!’ as we all need a reminder that change starts with us and to feel individually empowered to make a difference starts within us.

Furthermore inspired by the SMP I created the sub heading to also be the hashtag #PLAYYOURPART to inspire each and everyone to play their part in achieving the Goals of this great initiative.
