COVID-19 Quick Brief

These executions are a part of our Capstone Assessment 2 Quick Briefs.

Problem:
With the flood of depressing news about COVID-19 in Victoria and the interim of the lifting of the restrictions, some Australians have developed an unconcern towards Government communication and its regulations. Memes are popping up, some are resisting wearing masks and people resent being put back into lockdown.

Does the public actually understand that this virus can trace huge distances under a short time? it can infect anyone without discrimination! How can the Victorian Government gain support and encourage compliance with its initiatives to make the state COVID safe?

Challenge:
Convince Victorians to follow guidelines to stop community spread of COVID-19

SMP:
COVID-19 is something you should not get.

Target:
All Victorians, particularly those aged 19-35.

Task:
Create a poster with an image and headline to help stop the spread i.e. wash hands, stay home, wear a mask, get tested etc.

Mandatories:
Victorian Government logo

Rationale:

The request was to create a poster and I just got inspired to create 3 executions for this brief. I used the themes of stay home, wear a mask and social distancing as the main idea and tried to simplify it with basic imagery that brings home the message.

I also realise the importance of a movement. So to further the individuals feeling to join the movement & not be left out the hashtag #jointhemovement was created.

I took this brief further & created the final posters on the next pages in illustrator adding bright colours that make it pop in order to bring the visuals to life.
